Hüpfschnecke/Jumping Snail 14.05.05
"Boing! Boing! Boing! Children will jump for joy over German designer Timo Wuerz's clever update of the bouncing ball. I only wish they made this last one for adults.
Screw Segway, this would be my main mode of urban travel. Believe it or not, the Jumping Snail was designed by a German, Timo Wuerz. I don't think they even have relaxed fit jeans in the motherland, and yet one of their designers came up with this bouncing toy.
Go figure. You remember those big red bouncing balls from childhood? This is a playful reworking of the old standby. Shaped like a snail, it's red and made of a durable rubber. That's it.
You can only get the Jumping Snail at SF MoMA and it will cost you a whopping $35.00."
